Technical Product Manager

Full-Time Hybrid/Remote/DC-Metro or East Coast

careMESH is an agile, early-stage company at a critical inflection point. We are seeking a Technical Product Manager with healthcare experience who possesses the precision of a Business Analyst and the vision of a Business Executive. You will be responsible for the "guts" of our platform, ensuring our SEARCH, CONNECT, and NAVIGATE products work seamlessly within the complex web of healthcare IT.

Core Responsibilities

  • Customer-Centric Design: You will take ownership of the careMESH web app and Epic Showroom add-in. You will translate customer pain points into rigorous functional documentation and implementation plans that serve as the definitive guide for our engineering team.

  • Product Architecture: You will define how information flows between careMESH and external systems, including EHRs and third-party platforms. This requires experience in HL7 and FHIR standards and the logic of interconnected healthcare systems.

  • The "BA" Engine: You are the primary author of our product's logic. You won’t just be sketching wireframes; you will be mapping data, evaluating APIs, and defining and verifying technical acceptance criteria.

  • Engineering Partnership: Working side-by-side with our developers in a fast-paced startup rhythm, you will set priorities and ensure features are buildable, scalable, and HIPAA-compliant. You will own the "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done" and personally review the output before it is released to production.

Experience & Startup DNA

We are a lean team where everyone "gets their hands dirty." We understand that no one has every skill, but a combination of the following, developed over at least an 8-year career, is essential:

  • Startup Grit: You have experience in early-stage environments. You thrive when there is no "standard operating procedure" and enjoy the challenge of creating order out of chaos.

  • EHR Fluency: Understanding of identity, directories, and permissions in Health Systems. Direct experience with Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), or MEDITECH (e.g., App Market integrations, HL7/FHIR workflows).

  • Messaging: Working knowledge of secure, real-time communication solutions (e.g., secure clinical messaging, XMPP, or complex email/directory integrations).

  • Interoperability Mastery: A working-level knowledge of healthcare standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, CCDS/CCDA) is essential.

Location & Logistics

Remote/Hybrid: careMESH is a 100% remote organization. However, we meet regularly in our Reston, VA HQ office for strategy and collaboration.

Location: Candidates must live in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area or the Eastern Time Zone and be able to travel to Reston every month.
