careMESH Named a Cool Vendor in the May 2020 Gartner Cool Vendors in Healthcare Interoperability Report

careMESH has been named as one of the May 2020 Cool Vendors in Healthcare Interoperability by Gartner, Inc. The report, written by Mandi Bishop, Greg Pessin and Barry Runyan, states that “data is the lifeblood of the healthcare industry, and the emerging FHIR standard promises streamlined data exchange among ecosystem partners — yet interoperability at scale remains elusive. These Cool Vendors offer CIOs innovative approaches and accelerators to achieve interoperability goals(1).”

careMESH offers a unique approach to improving interoperability by embedding its National Provider Directory within a customer’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. The company then deploys its secure Delivery Manager to guarantee the timely, digital sharing of patient event notifications, referrals, and other transitions of care to any designated recipient—even if the receiving clinician or practice has not subscribed to the service. Customers significantly improve real-time data exchange with external healthcare providers, better coordinate care, reduce the cost and burden of directory maintenance, and deliver Patient Event Notifications and electronic referrals that meet both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule (CMS-9115-F) and Promoting Interoperability measures.
